Hello,
we want to create a cement bathroom and I have a few questions regarding the sequence and amounts of cement/products needed.
Our room: We want to divide the bathroom into a wet and a "dry" area. The wet area will involve a shower and bath. The dry area will contain a toilet and sink. We want a concrete finish on all walls and on the floor of the "wet" area.
The surfaces are either concrete (floor wet area ca 4 sqm), Plasterboard (1of two shower walls, 2qm m) and stone wall without plasterboard ( 2sq m - one wall in the shower and all other walls).
Is this the right sequence of products:
1.) Waterproofing Grout "DSB DIchtschlämme", 2-3 layers, 2mm thick in total- 1,6kg per mm thickness (per meter?)
--> I will use DSB for the plasterboard-wall in the shower, right? Do I also use it for the part of the plasterboard-wall in our bathroom which is never in direct contact with water?
2.) SQ Primer, applied to all surfaces
3.) For Plasterboard Surface: KLEMO adhesive mortar including light mesh
4.) Marfino Concrete 400 - 800g / sq m, two layers needed: Everywhere. DYE mixed into it according to our wishes?
5.) PUR2 Polycoat as a finish everywhere
In regards to all the walls/ceiling which are not in direct contact with water: Is it possible to use regular concrete for these and paint them? Or should every wall in a bathroom be plastered with Marfino / PUR2?
Thanks a lot for the help!
